Towing

An SUV being loaded on a flatbed in downtown San Diego. This vehicle broke down on the side of the road off of Market St. and 5th Ave.

The owner of the vehicle called the San Diego Towing Network and had a tow truck show up in 20 minuted to help. The vehicle was loaded onto a flatbed tow truck and then transported to a nearby mechanic shop for repairs. The owners had previously contacted SANDAG to request a free tow service, however, was a tow truck was not dispatched because the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) does not provide free towing services to San Diego. SANDAG does provide Freeway Service Patrol which will help motorist stranded on San Diego freeways during peak traffic hours.
